Elementary and Middle School Fire Safety Webinar
As a part of an ongoing effort to bring home safety education into classrooms, the Home Safety Council's Fire Safety Rangers Know the Drill and Fire Science programs reach out to elementary and middle school audiences with critical fire safety messages designed specifically to reach each age group. Each program teaches school children what to do during a fire emergency and provides valuable information on life-saving technologies, like interconnected smoke alarms and home fire sprinkler systems.
The Home Safety Council's recent research conducted with Johns Hopkins University found that elementary education presentations make up 80 percent of the fire and life safety education activities conducted by U.S. fire departments. Our survey also found that free community education materials are among the most valuable resources provided to fire departments. The archived webinar also provides you with tools and materials to help with your elementary and middle school presentations.
